Bus Stop Brisbane, authorised dealers of new Yutong buses and coaches, has delivered its maiden vehicle to the Northern Territory during December 2014.
The new Yutong ZK6930H 39 passenger school bus has been welcomed into the fleet of Good Shepherd Lutheran College of Howard Springs – some 20 kilometres south-east of the capital city, Darwin.
The vehicle features state-of-the-art running gear and components including a powerful 250 horsepower Cummins ISB 6.7 litre diesel-powered engine, an Allison T280R Automatic Transmission with ECAS Airbag suspension and WABCO ABS.
The staff of Good Shepherd are very excited to welcome the new Yutong into the fleet after it replaced an ageing three-axle Scania K112 coach.
The journey from Bus Stop Brisbane’s Archerfield facility to Good Shepherd Lutheran College comprised some 3,400 kilometres – a whopping distance comparable to between three and four countries in Europe. Despite this daunting task the new Yutong performed flawlessly as expected and arrived on schedule for handover to the college on the first day of December.
